- and many other little fixes...
Version 1.3.0 will be out soon with more of the requested features, this one was released to address the security issues that emerged recently.
'edit' you say????
There's a new version of freeSSHd online (1.2.0) and it comes with a cool feature you've all been waiting for: "graphical" application support. See picture below to better understand what I mean. Here's a list of changes:
- new console handling code - supports 'edit'-like apps, ANSI colors, etc.
- fix in remote port forwarding that closed listening socket after first connection
- automatic update support
Update, take #2
Long awaited new version (1.1.0b) of freeSSHd is available for download. "Why beta" you ask? It's because we still need to test whether new GUI works on all WinNT versions. Any feedback would be appreciated (this mainly goes to you, NT4/2K user). And YES, "Large fonts" issue is finally solved :) "Crashing when closing tunnel connection" bug is also fixed. Version 1.0.10 is still avaliable for download (we learned our lesson last time).
Update
freeSSHd version 1.0.11 is available for you to download. This will be the last edition of 1.0.* generation. We fixed the 'Major Flaw', and some GUI issues concerning 'Tunneling' tab. Expect other issues (like tray icon not showing in some OS versions) resolved soon in version 1.1 with rewritten GUI and User management code.
freeSSHd wiki
I know, it is old news (old site had a link to it) but many of new users don't know about it. freeSSHd wiki is a part of The Windows Documentation Project, a really nice effort to collect knowledge about Windows administration in one place. It has enough information on how to setup and run freeSSHd. So, it would be nice if you'd check it out and even contribute.
New website design
It's been almost two years since we started working on freeSSHd project. After some thinking we decided that it's time we "redecorate" our website, altough it served us well in past months, years, and so on. We also agreed that there will be no drastic changes, only modernization of the current concept.
So, here it is. Feel free to post your comments on forum.
